Fantastic Service: Review by Madame Bagtastic

Great quality bags. If they shipped any faster, customers would only have to think about buying the bag and it would show up on their doorstep. Granted, I live in California, so I'm sure that helped. Still, I highly recommend.
Great work bag: Review by Amy H.

I wanted something that nobody else had at work. There are so many people that have generic laptop bags or those massive Swiss Gear ones. I like the look of this for sure.

This thing holds everything I need and nothing I don't.

I will know more after a few weeks, as I just got it on Friday.

What I'm most impressed with is that this holds my stupid massive laptop for work (it's an HP pro 15.6"; this WILL fit a 15.6" laptop, for the record). I've tested it with my basic carry (laptop, lunch, pouch for a couple small things including a mouse and headphones in a hero pouch, a couple of pens, two mobile phones, wallet, work notebook, and bullet journal. I think I still have more room to fit a sweater if I need it. Not sure where I'll put my keys, but I think they'll fit in the outside pocket.

I love the roll-top idea. I was never into roll-tops, but I think this will totally fit my aesthetic and it also can expand to carry more if I need it.

This is something I would buy again if I needed to, but I don't think I will need to since the quality is amazing. Great job with this bag and I'm looking forward to using it every day for work.

It's a little expensive, but most good stuff is. I'm pleased with the price, capacity, and quality.
Excellent all-around bag: Review by Shelley

I bought my first one of these to take with me to Europe last summer, and it was exactly what I needed for the plane trip over and as a day pack. I liked it so much that I bought a different color as a bag for work. I am a teacher without my own classroom or office, so I need a bag that will carry around my laptop and paperwork, and this does the job well without putting a strain on my back. I also don't look quite as much like a student due to the more sophisticated look of this bag. This is definitely worth the price, in my opinion.

I love my Sutro backpack and use it as a work commuter - the usual stuff. I recently grabbed my Sutro as I needed a "day pack" for Outward Bound in the woods of northern Maine. This thing is indestructible! Made it through hiking, camping, a ropes course, 7 hours of search and rescue exercises looking perfectly good as new. Huge value for the money. Rickshaw, you guys make AWESOME bags.

I got my Sutro (high performance tweed exterior/XPAC interior) about 4 years ago. I am a four-season bike commuter and I've taken my Sutro through just about every kind of weather mother nature can dish out--snow, sleet, hail, rain, Minnesota winters. I'm not joking when I say the Sutro still looks like it did the day I got it. There's barely even a loose thread on it. This bag single-handedly restored my faith in the "Made in America" label.
In addition to possessing excellent craftsmanship, there are plenty of other accolades I could give it--comfortable to wear, great attention to detail, surprisingly roomy. It's not exactly cheap, but for the money there's no better bag you can buy.
Still love the after after a year: Review by Alberto T

I ordered by Sutro about a year and cannot say enough good things about things about this bag. I use it as my regular work laptop/supplies bag every weekday. It's sturdy and durable, feels very comfortable to wear, even with heavier loads. I love the side zip to get access to things when you're in transit and cramped (e.g. on a plane, the subway, etc). Not only is a bit of a enough to hold my laptop, charger and various cables, I also sometimes stop by the grocery store on the way home and I often have enough to room to fit the ingredients for that night's dinner in the bag as well. I am in IT consulting and obviously the bag looks cool and casual for the everyday, but also fits in with a more "grown-up" look when I visit more button-down clients.

Great pack!: Review by Great pack!

Well made and amply sized for lots of stuffing, is pack takes the cake for ease of use and simplicity, all while looking stylish. Generously padded straps and rear back section. Full sized laptop padded separate sleeve partition. Buckles instead of Velcro is genius! No more grabbing my clothing or making tons of noise in quieter environments. Outer zip pocket with expandable baffles has internal organizer for pens & smaller items. Fold down top is perfect for expansion or cinching down for various sized and shaped loads. Colors are vibrant and durable on cordura throughout. Craftsmanship is second to none, seams line up and are straight and well sewn and finished. I happened to get a special edition colorway bag by Rickshaw for TitleNine and for some reason(I assume the pattern layup design print on the bag) they did not make these Sutro bags with the side zip option. Bummer! I am sure this extra design but makes this bag amazing! Wish mine had it.

I had been looking for backpack for daily use for some time. I needed something light weight, roomy enough to carry my daily items, and fit in appearance wise in a corporate environment. The Sutro fit the bill. Not only was I able to order an exterior color that wasn't loud or "tactical", but I was also able to get an interior color that allows yous you to see into the bag without a flashlight to find your gear!! The ability to get my bag the way I wanted it combined with the fit and finish made the Sutro an incredible value for the money. If that wasn't enough, I was able to get extra long should straps to accommodate my broad shoulders. That's value and service.

I just took this back pack on a trip to Europe. It was wonderful on the plane and as a tote as various sites were visited. The great side pocket is perfect when fishing around for gloves or other accessories for the day. It was great on the plane and fit comfortably under the seat in front of me. Most importantly, after take off, it is fits perfectly between my legs and the seat I am in . It gave me plenty of room for my feet and easy access to the items I had packed to occupy my transoceanic flight. Good job on the design and construction. A clear 5 start product!
