I looked all around for a great bag i could carry every day: something comfortable, durable, and not too big. I've used big bags before, and I end up lugging around more stuff than I need just because I can. So I wanted something Goldilocksian: not too big, not too small, but just right.
This bag is just that. I can toss in my iPad, my laptop, and a few necessities and go dog go! The slash pockets are fantastic: big enough and deep enough for a variety of things, but not so big stuff gets lost. There are plenty of slots for an assortment of pens, pencils, highlighters, and markers, and the bag is constructed so that even the stuff on the back of the bag won't dig into you when you're wearing it. And there's little hidden pockets and attachment points all over the place.
I love the sturdy, comfortable handle on top, which doesn't distort the bag when you pick it up. The strap is very comfortable, and the easy-adjust feature is great. I love the magnetic closures. They do a great job of keeping the flap down without making a racket and without me having to fiddle with the clasps. (And the "SHHHH" label on the tabs is a cute touch.) The X-Pac fabric and the blue trim definitely give it some character.
The only complaint I have is a relatively small one. The water bottle holders at each end barely hold anything bigger than a .5L bottle. They're great for those throwaway plastic bottles, but it's hard to find a reusable bottle that fits them well. I'd love it if Rickshaw could offer larger bottle holders as an option - something that could hold my 1L SIGG would be PERFECT.

I've had my new Rickshaw bag for almost a month and it seems to hold an endless amount of supplies plus my laptop. Very user-friendly, well-made, sharp appearance. This bag should take care of my needs for a very long time. Thanks, Rickshaw!

I've been using this bag for about 1 month now and really like it. Aesthetically it's a beautiful bag and I really appreciate the many compartments for organization. That said I would offer a few things to consider and recommend a few changes to or things that would have been nice.
Pros:
1) Aesthetics: love them. It's a laptop bag without the soulless style of typical laptop bags. Am comfortable with the bag on the street and insde suit-and-tie conferences.
2) Waterproofness Is great. Have not had any issues (through a rainy Vancouver BC winter!) and have full confidence in the bag. Only once when the bag was really overloaded did I notice a tiny gap at the top corner which the front flap and fold in tabs usually cover.
3) Cross strap: awesome. Get it.
4) Loads of options for organization.
5) Laptop sleeve: Velcro holds really well and is easy enough to detach.
6) Magnetic silencers: these are gold. I love them!
Cons:
1) Size: the bag doesn't hold as much as I thought - it's a bit hard to judge size based on the Rickshaw photos on the website but this bag is best doing on thing at a time (either carrying your laptop/tablet/documents, OR groceries, OR gym clothes etc. If you need your bag for a lot of daily tasks I'd suggest a larger one.
2) Should Strap: The shoulder strap is just a touch large (but I'm also pretty skinny..) so getting a snug fit with that alone isn't possible. That said, the shoulder strap + underarm cross-strap guarantees the bag won't move when I'm biking around (Cross strap = highly recommended!).
3) Quick Access: accessing contents of the front two pockets requires you to release at least one buckle before unzipping the pocket; it would have been nice to have quicker access to at least one of these pockets for answering my phone, or grabbing keys or my wallet. Not critical but would have been nice.
4) Water bottle holders will fit only slim-regular water bottles (and then it's really snug!). If you have anything larger than a water bottle that would fit into a bike cage you'll need a carabeener to latch it onto something since it won't fit.

Great Bag. Really great looking bag that is easy to slip over a shoulder. Love that the weight remains balanced and doesn't shift. The pockets on the sides hold a water bottle perfectly and keep your contents dry. The front pockets are great for storing small items like chargers and cords. the back pocket is perfect and some of the best design I have seen. An easy way to access pens and a notebook. Great for quick access in a meeting or on the road.
Really great bag! Loving it!
