My Medium Zero Messenger Bag arrived a few days ago, having been brought to Shanghai with a friend traveling from San Francisco.

My first impression is how great the Cordura Steel exterior looks, especially with the Codura Sandstone binding. Seems I have good taste in color selection. Secondly, upon handling, the build is clearly top-notch and wonderfully utilitarian in its design; the laptop sleeve insert is pure genius. Thirdly, I find the shoulder strap pretty comfortable, whether I wear it side-shoulder or cross-shoulder; the bag sits comfortably in any number of different positions by adjusting the quick release buckle (which handles with ease).

My sense is, that after some breaking in, I’m going to love this bag. I’d been a loyal Timbuk2 guy, but am glad I took a chance on Rickshaw in hopes in finding a more grown-up messenger bag, suitable for both the street and workplace.
