I almost checked "too small" under cons, but decided that the issue may be me and not the bag. When I have my laptop and some files in the bag, it's a squeeze to get my lunch box in there too. I'd like another inch or two in depth (i.e., back to front, not top to bottom). So there's a bit less room inside than would be optimal for me ... but others may not have that problem.
Other than that, I love this bag. I'm a professor and not a bike courier, so I needed something that had extra pockets, pen loops, a handle, etc. but STILL was waterproof, over the shoulder, etc. This bag really hits the sweet spot. The design is spot on. I love how it stands up. The fabric feels a bit thinner and lighter than other courier bags I've owned, but again, since I'm not actually a courier, I don't think this is a problem. And "a bit thinner and lighter" doesn't mean "TOO thin and TOO light." I think this will be totally waterproof and sufficiently rugged for the amount of abuse I'm going to give it.
All in all, this is the best courier bag I've owned/tried. Nice job, Rickshaw!

this is a really good bag. very well built, I expect years and years of use. looks great as well, I got the graphite tweed with mandarin trim - very sharp. I would have bought one earlier but I was afraid it was not "business" enough for me. I had a timbuk2 for 12 years and I wanted to get a bag that would be a little more biz appropriate, but still be funky and functional.
I commute as well, 7miles each way, so the way it fits and works on the bike is important. I got the cross strap, mandatory for using on a bike as far as I'm concerned. it took a few adjustments to get the right bag placement but the fit is solid. one issue, the back pouch is where pens/pencils/misc go and can be uncomfortable on the back. I've streamlined a bit to make it manageable. overall compartment organization is very good.
i have a 15.4" pc laptop, and it does not fit into the sleeve. this is a bummer. I'm not getting a mac anytime soon, so I'm going to try to modify the sleeve (add elastic to one of the seams) to get it to fit. it just needs to be a tiny bit bigger to make it work. overall size is smaller than my last bag, but works well.

I switched from a cluttered shoulder bag to the commuter 2.0 and I have mixed feelings. The quality of the commuter bag is excellent and it looks really nice but it is bulky and a little heavy. I am having a hard time adjusting to the size but I love the organization and the fact that I am not breaking my back and neck by carring a heavy bag slung over one shoulder. Another pro is my computer is so much more well protected.

Man, I came out of another brand of bag and I'm really, really, really happy with this one!
First, it's light and just the right size. My last bag was too dang heavy, and too big. The truth is, I get just as much stuff IN it, but I don't have to carry the extra weight and bulk of a larger, less well designed bag.
Second, it's ORGANIZED. My last bag had basically two big compartments that couldn't be accessed easily. This bag? It's awesome. I can get into a back compartment for daily needs, the main compartment for stuff I need often, and then two big pockets for stuff I only need every-once-in-awhile. (Example: My inflatable travel pillow.)
Third, It's cool. I like the looks, the materials, and the way it hangs. And it's comfortable. Strangely, my last bag could only be hung on one shoulder. I don't know why that was, but it got old. I can now switch shoulder-to-shoulder, and it fits and feels great.
Downsides? I always carry a water bottle of my own, and the water bottle pockets are too small and not secure. I'm going to lose a bottle, for sure. Second, I actually use my bags bike commuting, and little extras like a waist-strap and a phone sleeve aren't "extras," they're necessary. I didn't know the bag didn't have these until I got it, and was disappointed that I had to order these things. The bag should come with them.
All in all, I'm super happy with this purchase, and would do it again and again. If this bag had come with a waist-belt - at least - it would've merited a five star rating, for sure. Buy it now, and don't forget the accessories, if you need them!
