I found Rickshaw while searching for versatile messenger bag that could be used for biking to work, traveling, and carrying my cameras. I don't like the heavy, stiff vinyl used in a lot of messenger bags and I didn't need a bunch of small pockets. I ordered a Medium Zero with Graphite Tweed exterior with silver trim and Red Xpac interior. The Xpac is lighter and more flexible than vinyl and I'm sure it will be more than durable enough for my purposes. I wasn't sure if I'd like the tweed or not, but at my wife's urging I went for it and absolutely love it. It really stands out from all the canvas and nylon bags. I like that the strap is more flexible than some of the other bags I tried as well and how the whole bag molds itself to my body right out of the box. The Medium is the perfect size for me. It fits my camera insert with a couple of lenses, a flash, and body with battery grip. And it fits my notebook, lunch, extra gloves, and I can stuff my jacket in it for going to the office. The two front pockets hold a lot more than I thought they would too, they've got a bit of a gusset at the bottom which allows them to expand. They don't have any closures but are very deep and I haven't had anything fall out of them.

I also ordered the strap pad, waist strap, flap buckles, and large Deluxe Drop pocket. The strap pad is a must buy, its very comfortable. The waist strap has the added bonus of making a good grab handle if you shorten it up, I haven't tried it while biking yet. The flap buckles have been nice the time or two I've overstuffed the bag but most of the time I leave them unbuckled, the velcro does a great job of keep the bag closed. The large Deluxe Drop pocket is a great addition too. I keep a couple of pens and a small Moleskine in the outside and have somewhere slightly more secure to drop my wallet and phone.

The only addition I've made to the bag is a semi-rigid bottom I made from some thin foam and a piece of cardboard. It slips right underneath the origami flaps at the bottom of the main compartment and gives a little cushion when I'm carrying my camera gear.

If I could change anything about the bag, I'd want a longer shoulder strap. When I'm using it as a camera bag it would be a little easier to access if it hung a couple inches lower. Other than that I'm 100% happy with my bag!

Love my new bag- so wonderfully waterproof and stable!!

My only complaint is that I can't remember if there is a left shoulder vs. right shoulder option - it took a little adjusting to figure out how to swing the bag over a new shoulder.

I use this all the time and love it. The front pockets are the perfect size for my u-lock and my kindle, which I often travel with. I can fit everything else I need inside, including at least a few notebooks, my laptop and a dslr. My last messenger back could definitely not handle all of those items without feeling incredibly bulky. With this bag, you feel the weight of the things you put into it (obviously) but it doesn't feel crammed or bulky when it's full.
