For years I struggled to find the "perfect" bag to carry my laptop, portable HD, ereader and all my other stuff. I must've bought seven or different bags/backpacks and I was never fully satisfied until I bought my Rickshaw bag. It has all the right compartments, pockets, sleeve and space. It's stylish and attractive but isn't flashy. I don't want a bag that screams "hey, potential thieves -- there's a laptop in me!" I plan on keeping and using this one till it falls apart which, judging by its quality, won't be anytime soon.

I've owned more than a dozen bags over the past twenty years or so and every single one has fallen-short of being the perfect bag. Not so with my Rickshaw Commuter 2.0 - it is perfect in every way!!

Prior to my Rickshaw I was using a backpack for my laptop and the assorted stuff I carried with it. While I liked the way the Commuter 2.0 bag looked I was definitely skeptical about it's ability to hold as much as I routinely carry.

Just to be clear - I carry a lot of stuff:

A Dell laptop

An iPad

A Bluetooth keyboard (for the iPad)

A Mi-Fi Hub

A couple of pairs of headphones

Mints, aspirin, green tea, packs of Starbuck's Via coffee

Chargers for all my stuff (laptop, iPad. iPhone and Mi-Fi hub)

Business and Hotel, Rental Car and Airline membership cards

Pens, Highlighters and a Stylus or two

A leather portfolio

At least a couple of magazines (to read during the 'no electronic devices' black-out on planes

A pair of sunglasses

A Brita filtered water bottle

(and additional stuff that I'm sure I'm forgetting)

My Commuter 2.0 arrived, I pulled everything out of my backpack (which I never really cared for) and began, still very skeptically putting it everything into it. To say I was amazed is an understatement! Everything fit perfectly - with room to spare! I have to admit that I modded the bag slightly, by carefully removing the stitching on the pen organizer on the right-side of the outside pocket (how many pens do normal people carry anyway?!), so the space now allows for a little more storage, but it accommodated everything.

All-in-all this is the perfect bag! It holds everything I need it to, it's comfortable to wear, it fits under an airplane seat and it looks great! I opted for pretty mainstream colors for the bag and flap, but had camo fabric used on the trim, which looks pretty damn cool.

As you can see I'm one happy customer. I'd highly recommend a Rickshaw Commuter 2.0 bag to anyone who needs to travel with a laptop. Thanks Rickshaw!

I am very pleased with this 2.1 bag. It holds everything I need, looks great, and is extremley durable. The only problem I have with the bag is that it claims to be waterproof, however, I put my bag in the shower and water got into the backpocket through the zipper. Also, water got into the front pockets (the bottom corners) where the big flap does not totally cover them. For the future making of bag, maybe the two folds of flap (on both corners) when closing bag could be just a little bigger so when closing it there are no gaps where a heavy rain could get laptop or important documents wet.

Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Easy to use, Good Pockets, Just Cool, Magnetic OR Velcro enclosures
Cons: Heavy, Not exactly what it looked like online

This bag is awesome. Not only did I get to choose the colors, but the functionality of the bag is really cool too and I am such a hard consumer to please.

Having a zipper pocket on the back that has storage for everything you usually need without having to get into the main pocket where the laptop is actually stored. That said, there are too many places to put pens (who carries more than 2 these days, that is why I have a laptop and iPad in this bag) and not enough places for my blutooth headset and stuff that does not readily fit into long skinny pouches.

Because I used a promo code, with my order, I was not able to customize the size of the laptop sleeve. One a little smaller for my MacAir would be nice, but because it is a bit large, I just put my air and pad in the same sleeve. It would have been awesome if they had a pocket in the bad that was made for the iPad or what I thought would be even better would be the ability to have numerous sleeves that you could stack in there next to eachother and have them secured but removable like the main pouch is, with Velcro. But again, this is a minor pain and there are plenty of options for storing my pad within the bag.

One thing I miss from my previous laptop bag is a sleeve on the back so I can easily slide it on top of my carry on roller bag. You can easily put the handle of the roller suit case through the handle of the Commuter 2 and it has places that you can attach a strap, but it is not included.

The other thing I would have liked with this model and apparently you can do it with other versions, is choose all of the colors of my bag. It would be cool to chose from some pocket set ups as well. It sounds small, but if customization is the core competency of this company. You should be able to customize more. I WANT EXACTLY WHAT I WANT
