Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Easy to use, Spacious

I've been using my Rickshaw Commuter bag daily for almost six months. It is the best laptop bag/briefcase I have ever had. The design is perfect, with just enough organizational pockets and a large main compartment. The laptop sleeve is perfectly sized for my MBP, but sadly doesn't reduce the weight... The construction of the bag is very good, and the design touches (like the handle and stiffened panels to ensure correct flap closure) make it a pleasure to use every day. Finally, paralyzed by the custom choices, I wanted to change the color after I ordered online. I called Rickshaw and got to a real person who made the change while the bag was in progress. Excellent service and highly recommended.

After a year since I bought my Commuter 2.0, I can honestly say its been one of the best laptop bags I've had so far. It fits everything perfectly without looking (or feeling) bulky. My 15" MacBook Pro, my iPad (in its Rickshaw sleeve of course), Kindle, moleskins, chargers, headphones, a couple of files folders and magazines. Aside from my everyday commute, I've traveled several times and fits perfectly under seat with room to spare. Aside from a tear on one the mesh pouches (which was totally my fault), its been a very durable bag. Even with a bright color like yellow, its resisted stains very well and has required minimal cleaning. I couldn't rant and rave more about this bag, and managed to get a couple of friends to grab one. If you're in the San Francisco area, definitely check out their factor store to play around with all the fabrics and colors to choose from.

I love this bag. It's attractive and has lots of great features. I got it in black cordura with flannel edging, which looks cool and understated. I read lots of the reviews before buying and haven't found the drawbacks that some have mentioned. Yes, the positioning of the carry handle does mean the bag tilts a little but I didn't find that it knocked against the body too much. The little side pockets aren't that useful to me because I rarely carry things on the outside for security reasons, but they are big enough to slot in a folding umbrella. The size of the bag is perfect for me. Like others I love the magnetic closure, which even coped with the bag being stuffed with my gear.

The bag is really nice to use. I really like the way the top folds back so that you can access the main compartment with ease, made even easier by the bag being free-standing - an important feature for me. I like the fabric on the inside - easy to wipe down if your drink bottle leaks etc. The back and two front pockets are great for stashing lots of items that might get lost in the bottom of the main compartment; pen slots, key hooks and fobs - all very useful. I also like that the laptop sleeve is removable - I don't always need my laptop so without it I have much more storage space. My first use for the bag was for an overnight stay for work and I was able to carry a change of clothes, (my shirt fitted flat into the front stash pocket within the main compartment) wash bag, 3 toiletry bottles, 4 books for work, diary, phone charger and drink bottle. The bag is really light when empty so it didn't feel cumbersome when full.

Lastly, the service from Rickshaw was great. Although it would be nice to get the tracking information without asking for it, the bag had arrived even before the tracking information was available, which made me smile! Rickshaw had missed out a few of the peripheral items and when I brought it to their attention the items were very quickly dispatched and reached me in the UK within days. Great service!

This bag is nearly perfect for me and my needs. I was looking for a very slightly smaller size since I have a MacBook Air, but it has worked well.

Pros: Attractive, Classy, Comfortable, Customizable, Damn cool, Durable, Easy to use, Lightweight, Organized, Protective, Quality workmanship, Spacious

This is my third Rickshaw Commuter The Skinny, 2.0 now the 2.1

Design elements are abundant and overflowing. Subtle changes for the BETTER are found in each version.

- Darker interior liner

- Removed the mesh pockets - makes the bag "sleeker"

- Easy to fit under and airplane seat

- New laptop sleep pocket is a great upgrade.. laptop in/out easier

Rickshaw customer service Rocks! World class! They listen and take care of the customer -- YOU. (Thanks Helen!) Awesome

This bag is my portable office. I just have to be careful not to overstuff this bad boy! There are pockets for organization. You can carry ---but do you really need two of everything and 10 pens?

Love the X-Pac material . Light weight and dust free! Easy to clean and avoids stains from a possible accident. @digital_kungfu

Waterproof and protected from the elements.

Is it me or are the pull tabs for the main flap a bit shorter??

You can't go wrong with this bag. A very awesome mix of style and substance!

- Understated and stealth mode features.

ie. carry handle actually fits snug with your roll on luggage. Beefy handle to keep the bag put when mounted on on top and rushing to the gate at the airport.

Sure my wife thinks I am crazy but all three bags are put to use.. and don't really collect dust laying around.

Now if they would make a discrete reflector tab or halo light option!!!

Great work Rickshaw bags!

Now to find the perfect water bottle to match.
