The outside pockets are useless, as is the ID window. It's made in the Wrong Place, so it's stiff. Two Simple pockets wouold be a better choice - I returned my Deluxe Pocket.

I have a few issues with the Deluxe Drop Pocket.
I find that the layout isn't great for me. I just don't need 3 long skinny pockets or the ID holder. i would prefer 2 of the square pockets on the front instead of 1 square and 3 skinny.
Because it isn't attached to the bag all the way around, I sometimes lose stuff behind it.
The grey/black nylon doesn't match my green tweed/brown bag at all. Be nice to be able to get one in a different color.

My review shall cover not only the drop pocket, which was a good idea, but also the Mini Commuter bag I bought a couple days prior to that time as well as the bag I bought a couple years ago.
I do like very much the mini commuter I got. The drop pocket I should have gotten at the store, because to pay for it and get it too may cost me way too much. But I believe in supporting small and local businesses--here in San Rafael, I'm a co-founder of Keep it Local, which attempted to keep Target out of San Rafael. We lost but a lawsuit got us a quarter of a million dollars to support local business.
Now, I did NOT like my experience in buying it. At ALL. I believe a young woman named Deirdre was there that day. She was curt and not helpful. I asked her about returning the large one I have and she was more than dismissive in saying no. It was one the most sour experiences I have ever had. I am sorry you have her in your employ.
So I am going to return to you a Commuter 2.0 this week. I barely used it. I bought it perhaps 2 or 3 years ago. You can keep it. You may also choose to do whatever you wish to do with it, but know this--I barely used it. I'd love some return of funds on it because it was so unsatisfactory.
Here's a story--I met Rickshaw's owner at an SVN event about two years ago, outside of Portland, Oregon. I told him at that time I liked the design of the Commuter but it was too large. I was planning on getting a smaller version at some point. He said was due soon. He seemed like a nice guy--a good businessman.
At that event I was able to raise $1.5M for Marin Clean Energy.
Here's hoping you can do something for me.
Thanks so much.
