For years I struggled to find the "perfect" bag to carry my laptop, portable HD, ereader and all my other stuff. I must've bought seven or different bags/backpacks and I was never fully satisfied until I bought my Rickshaw bag. It has all the right compartments, pockets, sleeve and space. It's stylish and attractive but isn't flashy. I don't want a bag that screams "hey, potential thieves -- there's a laptop in me!" I plan on keeping and using this one till it falls apart which, judging by its quality, won't be anytime soon.

I've gone through many bags over the years and this is the best one by far - a lightweight and efficient way to carry everything you need. The magnetic front flap is genius and makes for easy access when you don't really need to secure the bag.

this is a really good bag. very well built, I expect years and years of use. looks great as well, I got the graphite tweed with mandarin trim - very sharp. I would have bought one earlier but I was afraid it was not "business" enough for me. I had a timbuk2 for 12 years and I wanted to get a bag that would be a little more biz appropriate, but still be funky and functional.
I commute as well, 7miles each way, so the way it fits and works on the bike is important. I got the cross strap, mandatory for using on a bike as far as I'm concerned. it took a few adjustments to get the right bag placement but the fit is solid. one issue, the back pouch is where pens/pencils/misc go and can be uncomfortable on the back. I've streamlined a bit to make it manageable. overall compartment organization is very good.
i have a 15.4" pc laptop, and it does not fit into the sleeve. this is a bummer. I'm not getting a mac anytime soon, so I'm going to try to modify the sleeve (add elastic to one of the seams) to get it to fit. it just needs to be a tiny bit bigger to make it work. overall size is smaller than my last bag, but works well.
